A two year deal will also see the Quickslide brand festoon the first team shirts of Uttoxeter Town, an arrangement that came about through friends of Adrian, who believes that mutual inspiration and learning will come from the relationships with the lower league clubs: “I have always enjoyed sports and believe that much can be learned in life and business through sporting ethics and philosophies, as well as the sheer enjoyment of getting involved, even though at heart I am a York City fan – you can’t win them all!” he joked. Quickslide is the ground and shirt sponsor for Brighouse Town, which plays just two miles from Quickslide’s manufacturing centre and headquarters, with many of the company’s employees and local customers being players and fans. Sean Jarvis, Commercial Director of Huddersfield Town reflected Adrian’s comments: “We love working with Quickslide many of their staff are big Town fans and we regularly take inspiration from how they also successfully compete on a National scale”. This spirit is what has driven Huddersfield Town to achieve such success even against some huge clubs and we identify with that.” The relationship goes beyond the sporting element of the club, says Quickslide Chairman Adrian Barraclough: “For many years Quickslide has partnered with The Terriers, getting involved right at the heart and using the club as an inspiration for the philosophy that success can be achieved with good honest hard work, great spirit, and sharing common ideals, all whilst having fun. The partnership with Huddersfield Town, also known as The Terriers, extends over several years and to the days when the Premiership was just a dream for the West Yorkshire based team. Extending Quickslide’s support for The Beautiful Game still further to the Midland League, Uttoxeter Town is being supported by the window and door maker on behalf of a friend of the company. With Quickslide located in Brighouse the firm has renewed the links with its nearest top-level club Huddersfield Town which plays in the English Premier league, also agreeing sponsorship for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League team Brighouse Town. Yorkshire-based window and door fabricator and VS specialist Quickslide Windows has strengthened and renewed its links with football through the sponsorship of no less than three football clubs, all of which are at quite distinct levels of the game.
